2008 Ford Taurus X Review Summary
The Taurus X replaces the Freestyle as Fords entry into the Affordable Midsize SUV class and is ranked number 1 by Allcarguides.com. Ford upgraded the Taurus X in 2 important ways – It comes with a more energetic 3.5-liter V6 provides 263 horsepower / 249 torque as well as standard stability control. Both improvements make the Ford Taurus X a very qualified to compete against Chrysler Pacifica, GMC Acadia/Saturn Outlook, Hyundai Veracruz, Mazda CX-9 and Toyota Highlander. The consensus opinion, well summarized by ZDNET, “the Taurus X is a much more sensible car than a massive SUV. It's more maneuverable, gets plenty of power from its 3.6-liter V-6, and its lower height makes access easier.” All wheel drive is optional in this front-wheel drive car. As far as fuel economy, it compares on par to those in its class with 16 mpg city and 24 mpg highway for the base front-wheel-drive model and 15/22 for all wheel drive.

2008 Ford Taurus X Review Handling
