2008 Hyundai Tiburon Overview
The 2008 Hyundai Tiburon is offered in four trim levels, beginning with the inexpensive GS ($17,025), which uses a DOHC 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission or optional ($1100) four-speed automatic with Shiftronic manual control. Standard equipment includes power windows, doors and heated mirrors, air conditioning, keyless entry, tilt steering, a 220-watt Kenwood MP3 sound system, XM Satellite Radio (with three months free service), fog lamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels. 2008 Hyundai Tiburon Review Summary The 2008 Hyundai Tiburon, ranked 7.3 by ACG, is an affordable sports car with sharp exterior and quality interior styling, but it lacks the performance offered by competitors such as the Pontiac Solstice, Mazda MX-5 Miata and Honda S2000 to name a few. Reviewers were impressed with the Tiburon’s generous warrantee coverage, quality interior appointments, extensive list of standard features, efficient fuel economy and its incredibly affordable sticker price. Critics were quick to point out, however, that the 2008 Hyundai Tiburon lacked the true sports car performance available on competitive vehicles, its cramped back seats, dated overall design, stiff, front-wheel drive handling and relatively weak engine options. The Tiburon comes available in four trims including the GS, GT, SE and GT Limited. The GS’ long list of standard equipment includes 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, foglamps, full power accessories, air-conditioning and a six-speaker Kenwood stereo with CD/MP3 player and satellite radio. The GT tacks on 17-inch wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control, a trip computer, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cloth upholstery with black leather inserts, and chrome interior accents. The Tiburon SE, the sportiest version offered, includes a higher spoiler, red leather upholstery inserts and aluminum pedals. The GT Limited adds a sports suspension, red brake calipers, a sunroof (optional on other trims), full red leather upholstery and automatic climate control. The 2008 Hyundai Tiburon offers two engine options including a 138 horsepower 2.0-liter inline-4 (standard on the GS) and a 172 horsepower 2.7-liter V6 (standard on the GT,SE and GT Limited trims).
2008 Hyundai Tiburon Noteworthy The 2008 Hyundai Tiburon is not only one of the most affordable vehicles in it’s class, but it also boasts the most extensive warranty coverage available, including a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, five-year/60,000-mile new-vehicle warranty and five-year/unlimited roadside assistance program.
The Toyota Tundra line isn't quite as complicated as some other full-size pickup line-ups, but it still offers plenty of potential for confusion. For 2008, there are 44 different Tundra configurations, with three cab styles seating from two to six, three bed lengths and three engine...
