2008 Mazda MAZDA3 Review Summary
The 2008 Mazda 3, in its fifth year of production, is considered remarkable by many reviewers including Edmunds, Caranddriver and CNET for its combination of price, handling, interior materials and styling, Mazda 3 is ranked #4 by Allcarguides.com. The only mark against it is that its 3.2 liter engine is not very economical when compared to more economical cars. But then again, if you are comparing it to only to a Honda Civic then that is somewhat unfair as the Mazda 3 also competes against luxury wagons and economy cars. The Mazda 3 comes in hatchback and wagon and comes in 2 engines, 140-horsepower and 135 torque four-cylinder in the “I” trim and a more powerful 156-hp and 150 torque “s” trim. Caranddriver said it “offers big-money thrills at small cost.”

2008 Mazda MAZDA3 Review Handling
Mazda 3 handles more like a expensive sport sedan. CNET called it “best handling front-wheel-drive car” the have tested though they did say it suffered from turbo lag and torque steer. It has a performance-oriented chassis tuning, responsive steering, minimal body roll and holds the road very firmly. Mazda 3’s “s” trim’s 2.3-liter engine is smooth and quicker than one would expect from a 155 hp engine while on the highway the is ride is smooth

2008 Mazda MAZDA3 Review Safety
Limited standard features, only four-wheel disc brakes, but the more expensive trims offer the latest safety features such as Antilock brakes, front-side, stability control and full-length curtain airbags. The Mazda 3 scored a 3 scored four stars (out of five) in National Highway Traffic Safety Administration frontal-impact crash tests and a 3 (out of five) in side-impact tests

2008 Mazda MAZDA3 Noteworthy
The Mazda 3 is noteworthy for its aggressive styling and performance capabilities. The interior is also distinctive with good materials and fit. The total package ism ore than the price would suggest as noted by Edmunds. The seats are nice and “Grippy” to prevent driver from sliding
