The very large Mercedes Benz R Class “tourer” offers spacious comfort, styling and responsiveness and reduced pricing in 2008. The R Class comes in two powertrains both are rear wheel drive with optional 4Matic all wheel drive, the R350 with 3.5-liter V6, 268 hp and 258 torque and the R320 CDI's 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, with 215 hp and 398 torque. At 203 inches the R Class is longer than most SUVs and results in lots of room even in third row for adults. The R3650 4Matic gets 15/ 19 mpg and the R320 CDI gets 18/24 mpg.
