2008 Saturn VUE Review Summary The 2008 Saturn Vue is completely redesigned and upgraded and receives a number 4 ranking by Allcarguides.com in the Affordable Compact SUVcategory. Improvements to the 2008 Saturn Vue include: rugged and more athletic exterior, a shapely sloped roofline, steel and better fitting body panels, interior design and better quality of interior parts. As noted by Edmunds and Caranddriver the Vue has borrowed many parts from the European Opel division and is nearly identical to the Opel Antara. The 5 passenger front wheel drive crossover has all wheel drive as an option. It comes in three trims: XE, midgrade XR and most sporty Red Line. The XE trim has a 2.4-liter inline-4 164 hp and 160 torque and the XR and Red Line trims feature a powerful 3.6-liter V6 257 hp and 248 torque. Most reviewers noted that the car is tuned towards a softer ride so recommend the Red Line for a more sporty feel. Pricing starts at $21,395 for the four-cylinder XE and goes up to $29,395 for the Vue Red Line
2008 Saturn VUE Review Handling The V6 is reasonably peppy and steering in the V6 is particularly in touch with the road since it is manual and has a sports sedan feel. Caranddriver was particularly impressed with the handling. Little body roll during cornering. Motortrend and others noted that its weight makes it a bit sluggish.

2008 Saturn VUE Noteworthy Most reviewers noted the improvements in reducing interior wind noise and road noise. A number of reviewers noted the high quality of the materials including leather-trimmed seats that are nicely bolstered and sculptured. A few reviewers noted that cargo area and fuel mileage. There is slightly less cargo area than its competitors. More leg room for passengers in the 2nd row. Fuel mileage is not exceptional with just 19 city and 26 highway from the four-cylinder and the V-6 delivers just 16/22 mpg. Some of the blame is on the Vue's weight which is 4076 pounds, about 500 more than its competitors.
The 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander is available with five-passenger or seven-passenger seating and comes in four trim levels. The ES and SE are powered by a 168-horsepower inline-4 coupled to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The LS and XLS upgrade to a 220-hp V6...
