2008 Subaru Legacy Sedan Overview There are six Legacy models if you include the 2.5i Special Edition, three engines, and three all-wheel drive systems depending on engine and transmission.   The Legacy 2.5i comes with a 170-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, five-speed manual transmission, cloth upholstery, AC, 100-watt 6CD-in-dash stereo with auxiliary input and satellite capability, 40/60 split-fold rear seat, power windows/locks/mirrors, body-colored trim, projector headlamps, floor mats, cruise control, trip computer, antitheft system and 17-inch alloy wheels.  A four-speed automatic is optional.  Legacy 2.5i Special Edition adds an eight-way power driver's seat and moonroof.

The Subaru Legacy received just a few changes in 2008, including the instrument panel, new grill and lighting, the cancellation of the wagon body style and the addition of a few new standard features. It stands out from the crowd with all wheel drive and a sports sedan like feel. On the down side there is the limited space for passengers in the backseat and the limited availability of certain features, such as stability control.The Subaru Legacy comes in three engines types, all with all-wheel drive. The 2.5i model has 2.5 liter four cylinder producing 175 hp and 169 pound torque. The GT Limited has a turbocharged 2.5 liter four cylinder producing 243 hp and 241 lb-ft. Finally, the 3.0 R Limited has a 3.0 liter has a six cylinder producing 245 hp and 215 lb-ft.
