The Versa gives consumers the opportunity to save a lot of money, though, unfortunately, at the price of performance and style. It is available in a four-door hatchback or four-door sedan body style. The sedan is offered in the 1.6 base, 1.6, and S trim levels. The S and SL, however, are the only trim level that offers a choice of either sedan or hatchback body types. The 1.6 base and 1.6 trims come with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 107 horsepower and 111 pound-feet of torque, whereas the S and SL trims come with 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 122 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. In terms of transmissions, the 1.6 trim comes standard with a 5-speed manual and an optional 4-speed automatic, and the S trim comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 4-speed automatic which is standard on the SL trim.
