2011 Ford Fiesta Review Summary
In the minds of most reviewers, the 2011 Ford Fiesta, ranked 1 by AllCaeGuigdes in the Affordable Small Cars class, offers consumers more in all capacities than any other competitor. Indeed, the Fiesta, which has been on sale in Europe since 2008, cannot be outclassed when it comes to performance, driving appeal, exterior and interior style, and, last but certainly not least, fuel economy. The Fiesta is available in either four-door sedan or five-door hatchback body styles, along with four trims: the base S, SE, SEL and SES. Powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 120 horsepower and a standard five-speed manual transmission, the Fiesta offers a riding experience that nearly all reviewers have found to be smooth, sporty and bursting with confidence. The Fiesta even gets from zero to 60 mph in a class leading 8.7 seconds, and does so while getting fantastic fuel economy. How fantastic? Ford says that the 2011 Fiesta should get 30 miles per gallon in the city and 40 on the highway. These numbers are practically as good as any hybrid currently on the road. The Fiesta continues to impress when one gets out from under the hood to examine the exterior and interior. Most consumers will find the Fiesta’s European stretched out, long and low look body style to be refreshing and inviting. Ford even got the detailing right too, with exactly the right amount of chrome and an impressively substantial front grille. As one moves inside the cabin, the Fiesta continues to positively surprise. The car offers a welcoming cockpit that provides plenty of comfort and an attractive contemporary instrument panel design. Even the Fiesta’s seating has gained praise from critics, as they find it to be ample in terms of space and comfort. That said, it is worth nothing that most reviewers have test driven the hatchback version of the 2011 Fiesta only, and seating room might be less spacious in the sedan version. If reviewers have knocked the Fiesta at all, it is in regard to the car’s somewhat insufficient amount of cargo room. The hatchback, which has more available cargo space than the sedan, only gets a pitiful 26 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front row when the seats are folded down. However, the sedan version does get a competitive 12.8 cubic feet of trunk room. All in all, the 2010 Ford Fiesta should be an easy decision for buyers who seek an affordable price tag with great performance, sporty handling, high quality interior and exterior materials and styling, and class leading gas mileage.

2011 Ford Fiesta Review Handling
Critics have found that every aspect of the Fiesta’s driving experience is nearly flawless. The car is exciting to drive, whether in traffic or on the open road. The handling is tight and responsive, offering the driver easy maneuverability in any driving circumstance and on any road. The Fiesta’s steering is immediate and precise, and the engine nothing but perky.

2011 Ford Fiesta Review Safety
Crash tests for the 2011 Ford Fiesta are not yet in. However, the Fiesta’s surprisingly upscale safety features are worth making note of for an affordable small car. For starters, traction and stability control are standard for the Fiesta, as are anti-lock brakes. The Fiesta’s cabin boasts seven standard airbags, including front airbags, side-chest airbags for the front row, and side-curtain airbags for both rows of seats. Additionally, the Fiesta is equipped with an airbag for the driver’s knee, something the rest of the competition cannot say. This feature might seem insignificant on the surface, but an airbag for the knee prevents the driver from sliding forward and down during a collision, thus allowing the seatbelt and other airbags to more effectively do their job.

2011 Ford Fiesta Noteworthy
U.S. Auto Week land others lavishe great praise upon Ford’s new hit by saying, with US Auto saying “The Fiesta is as good a small car as can be found, sourced from anywhere in the world. That it comes from the Blue Oval is remarkable and heartening; its brilliance is the first ray of sunshine on what has been a seemingly midnight horizon.”
